Finding Tenants
Finding the right tenant for your property is one of the most important things we do. We use a range of marketing tools to give your property maximum exposure.
1. Website advertising
At any given moment, our site has a vast range of properties available to rent, and new properties are added daily. So potential tenants keep coming back. In fact:
- Over 60% of our tenants come to us via our website.
- 83% of visitors enter our url, www.crockers.co.nz directly. This indicates that the website is widely known
- Individual properties listed on our website receive extensive exposure. Each week that your property is vacant you will receive a web report specific to your property and the number of views it has received.
We get a lot of positive feedback on our site due to the fact that it is updated daily with what is currently available. We have staff who are responsible for updating the site immediately as a property's status changes.
2. Email
Crockers Property Spotter Email Alerts allows tenants to list the criteria for their next home. When we list a property that matches their selection, they receive an email notifying them of the property. We will have potential tenants waiting to hear about your property.
3. 'For Rent' sign
This service provides your property with additional road exposure. Many of our tenants come to Crockers after seeing the 'For Rent' sign outside an available property.
4. Print advertising
We advertise selected properties twice a week in the Herald and once a week in suburban newspapers, but find that our website and our large 'For Rent' signs generate most of our tenant enquiry.
5. Your Place
We produce a daily printed listing of available properties and place it outside the Crockers Office on Manukau Road. 11% of tenants are placed after reading this.
6. Referrals
We have a good reputation in the market - 28% of our tenants have been referred to Crockers by friends, family or colleagues.
7. Crockers brand
We invest heavily in brand advertising on radio and print, including the Property Press, New Zealand Herald, New Zealand Property Investor magazine and occasionally the National Business Review.
